Soilless culture includes hydroponic culture, mist culture, and substrate culture. Rock wool hydroponics is a kind of substrate cultivation. The application of rock wool in the agricultural field has been developed with the continuous maturation of soilless cultivation technology, which has a history of more than 100 years.
Rock wool hydroponics is a cultivation technique in which plants are planted in pre-made rock wool. The basic model is to cut the rock wool into shaped blocks and wrap them into a pillow bag block with plastic film, which is called rock wool planting mat. When planting, cut the holes on the surface of the rock wool planting mat, plant seedlings with seedling blocks, and drip the nutrient solution, and the plants can take root and absorb moisture and nutrients to grow up. If many rock wool planting mats are assembled together with attachments such as irrigation and drainage to form rock wool planting furrow, large-scale production can be carried out.
1. Nutrient solution circulation type. Rock wool hydroponics means that after the nutrient droplets are poured onto the rock wool, the excess nutrient solution is collected into the storage tank through the return pipe and recycled. The cultivation bed structure is a tank frame with a height of 20 cm. The frame is made of wooden strips of polystyrene boards. A 20 mm diameter PVC rigid pipe is set in the tank for drainage. A layer of plastic film is placed in the cultivation tank frame in advance. A row of rock wool pads (width 30cm, length 90cm, height 78cm) are arranged on it, and soft drip irrigation pipes are placed on the rock wool pads, and then all are wrapped with plastic film, and the whole tank body has a slope of the half. The liquid storage tank is set at one end of the cultivation bed and is 1.8m high, extending the liquid supply pipe to the cultivation bed. When supplying liquid, spray drip irrigation is used to supply the liquid, and the distance of the outlet hole is 40 per hole, 30m per minute. In addition to a nutrient solution for crop absorption and consumption, excess return to the liquid storage tank for reuse.
2. Cultivation without substrate
In substrate-free cultivation, the roots of plants are continuously or intermittently immersed in the nutrient solution to grow. No cultivation method of the substrate is needed, also known as the hydroponic method.
Rock wool hydroponics technology deep liquid flow cultivation facility is composed of four parts: germplasm tank holding nutrient solution, planting net frame or planting plate for hanging plants, underground storage tank, nutrient solution circulation flow system. The width of the planting trough is 90cm, the depth of the trough is 15cm, and the length of the trough is 20m. The germplasm trough can be shaped by foam pressing, and can also be brick and concrete (concrete) structure. The width of the planting plate is matched with the planting trough. The thickness of the plate is 3cm. The surface of the plate is perforated according to the row spacing of the plant. The aperture is determined by the plant being planted, generally 6cm. A plastic colonization cup is embedded in the colonization hole, and the diameter of the cup mouth is slightly larger than that of the colonization hole so as to be stuck on the colonization hole.
